Tree Trimmer

Join Wright Tree Service as a Trimmer/Climber Trainee and embark on a rewarding career in arboriculture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for trimming and removing trees, operating equipment, and ensuring the safety of our crew members and the public.

• Trim and remove trees using climbing equipment, ladders, and powered trimmer lift trucks.
• Operate various tools and equipment, including saws, pruners, and wood chippers.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
• Repair minor damage to lawns, fences, and walks caused by tree trimming.
• Relay hand signals, direct traffic, and operate trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Train new employees on proper procedures and ensure a safe working environment.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.

• Minimum 3 months of experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• Enforce on-the-job safety practices and wear necessary personal protective equipment.
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis and up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Maintain a herbicide applicator or operator's certification and license as required by Wright Tree Service and local, state, and federal law.
• Valid First-Aid and CPR cards.
• Complete and pass a Climber Trainee Performance Review.
