Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Specialist

The UAB Health System is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team in the Vein Clinic. This role involves providing medical care and treatment to patients, working independently and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose chronic venous insufficiency, varicose, spider, and reticular veins, acute and chronic DVT/SVT, venous/mixed venous ulcers, lymphedema, pelvic congestion syndrome, and May Thurner syndrome.
- Initiate first-line conservative management for the above diagnoses.
- Perform sclerotherapy and thermocoagulation spider vein treatments.
- Provide postoperative follow-up care after vein surgery.
- Care for venous/mixed venous ulcers.
- Participate in quality care initiatives and IAC Vein Center accreditation efforts.
Requirements:
A Master's degree in Nursing with Family NP, Adult Acute Care NP, or Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP certification, or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required. Current certification as an APN with CRNP Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing or licensure as a PA-C by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is also required. A minimum salary of $120,000 per year is expected.
