Hyperbaric Technician

Rome Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Hyperbaric and Safety Technician to join our Wound Care Center team.

The Hyperbaric and Safety Technician will be responsible for performing hyperbaric chamber operator duties, administering HBO therapy, and maintaining the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric equipment and systems.

• Prepares and educates patients about HBO therapy, including lifting or transferring patients as needed.
• Administers HBO therapy as prescribed by the provider, monitoring patients' responses and making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintains accurate patient records and data entries for daily HBO treatments and wound care clinic visits.
• Operates and maintains the HBO chambers and support oxygen systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Participates in the center's safety program, including conducting safety drills and maintaining a safe hyperbaric environment.
• Collaborates with facility management and department medical personnel to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Leads the center's safety program activities and initiatives, including reviewing safety incidents and providing in-service training.

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
• Pre or post-hire completion of an approved HBO safety course
• Current healthcare profession certification or license in the state of practice
