Position Overview

The Litigation Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys with ongoing legal matters and preparing for potential trials. This position involves conducting thorough research and ensuring that all case documentation is meticulously organized and maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing their schedules and appointments.
  • Coordinate depositions, meetings, mediations, and hearings.
  • Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe for document management.
  • File legal documents electronically in the appropriate court systems.
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation, including drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas.
  • Facilitate communication with clients and other parties involved in cases.
  • Organize virtual hearings using platforms like Court Call or Zoom.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Practice Administrator or Managing Attorney.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation support is required.
  • Familiarity with the discovery process is essential.
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and federal courts is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is necessary.
  • Ability to handle a demanding workload in a dynamic environment.
