Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse Practitioner:
- Plan, direct, and assess health care for residents and staff in long-term care settings
- Travel daily to various facilities as per scheduling requirements
- Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related conditions, minor injuries, and accidents
- Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside procedures related to wound care
- Work alongside the medical director in the care and treatment of residents and staff
- Perform debridement of wounds using sharp, enzymatic, autolytic, or surgical methods during patient visits
- Manage topical wound care and associated products
- Guide and recommend services to enhance wound healing outcomes
- Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on current wound management practices

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Proof of Covid vaccination
- Current registered nurse license in the state
- Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Successful completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for over 4 hours
- Capable of lifting up to 100 pounds to assist residents
- Ability to lift 10 pounds for routine tasks
- Pushing/Pulling over 70 pounds when providing patient care
- Bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting during patient care
- Good depth perception for performing medical procedures

Work Environment:
- Exposure to various indoor and outdoor conditions, bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards, and chemical hazards
- Travel to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities within the local area

Job Type:
- Full-time Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

Provider Bonus Plan:
- Eligible for Sign-On Bonus

Schedule:
- Day shift, Monday to Friday
