Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Inpatient Psychiatry Service, you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to pediatric patients with severe psychiatric disorders and co-morbid medical conditions.

About the Role:

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our young patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to coordinate, order, and deliver psychiatric care to patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include daily rounding on patients, performing mental status evaluations, developing diagnostic formulations, prescribing and evaluating psychotropic medications, and planning and implementing comprehensive treatment plans.

You will also be responsible for performing admission evaluations, discharge summaries, reconciling medication regimes, prescribing at discharge, communicating with referring care providers, writing orders, and documenting daily. Additionally, you will participate in managed care reviews, case management, regulatory initiatives, and performance improvement projects.

Requirements:

To qualify for this role, you must have a minimum of 5 years of pediatric mental health experience, preferably as a Nurse Practitioner. A Master's degree in Nursing and PNP/FNP or Psychiatric CNS certification are required.

What We Offer:

In addition to a competitive salary of approximately $123,000 - $150,000 per year, we offer a sign-on bonus of $2,250.00 for new hires who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years. Our team provides a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters growth and development.

Work Schedule:

This role requires an 8-hour day shift schedule with every third weekend.
