We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Encore Imaging in Clermont, FL.
Job Summary:The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing all MRI procedures, maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all MRI equipment, and ensuring the safety of patients during imaging procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform all MRI procedures and maintain a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all MRI equipment.
- Safely operate the scanner and administer contrast in order to produce diagnostic quality MR images.
- Assess and clear patients for MRI safety, review physician orders or patient charts for appropriate orders, diagnosis, and physicians' signatures.
- Set appropriate technical parameters, operate MRI scanners and related equipment, and observe image data on computer monitors during scans.
- Be familiar with the differences from a normal image and an abnormal image.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
- Prepare patients for procedures, position patients and coils on a table that slides inside the MRI scanner, and inject contrast media as required.
- Begin and end procedures in the computer system to ensure proper billing for services and maintain accurate records of patients.
- Work effectively to maintain an environment of excellence, providing timely, compassionate, quality patient care.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment for both staff and patients, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
- May perform other duties major and minor to contribute to the overall success of Encore Imaging.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Possess current ARRT or ARMRIT certification.
- State of Florida certification to practice medical radiography.
- IV Skills Required.
- Current CLS certification, or obtain within 90 Days of employment.
- CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Must maintain CPR certification at all times.
From $40.00 per hour. Expected hours: 8 – 10 per week.
