Visual Experience Designer Role

We are seeking a skilled Visual Experience Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts. As a Visual Experience Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and immersive interfaces that enhance the player experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and mock up visual designs for game UI based off the established design specifications.
  • Create and mock up motion studies of game UI that reflect the anticipated behaviors of motion graphics and controls in the UI.
  • Create prototypes in Figma or similar tools that can be used for User Research studies or design proof-of-concepts.
  • Iterate with User Research teams to ensure consumer feedback is applied and accessibility goals and metrics are supported.
  • Research and study appropriate visual reference to ensure visual designs feel authentic to the world we are creating.
  • Follow up in Unreal after Engineers and Tech Artists to do in-engine visual passes that bring the graphics up to the high artistic bar.
  • Author in-engine animations for elements in the game to bring life to the UI, enhance the player experience, and add clarity to the functionality of objects.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience as a UI artist in the video game industry.
  • Strong visual and graphic design skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard software and tools, such as Unreal Engine, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, Figma, or similar.
