Geisinger Medical Laboratories Microbiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Danville, PA.

We offer an exciting opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team of professionals, providing full-service microbial diagnostics around the clock. Our specialties encompass bacteriology, mycology, parasitology, mycobacteriology, virology, and molecular microbiology.

This position is located at our main campus in a state-of-the-art, open-concept laboratory that supports multiple hospitals, performing over one million billable tests annually and handling complex bacterial cases. Our facility features advanced automated microbiology sample processors and well-designed bacteriology workstations.

Education Requirements:

Clinical Laboratory Scientist:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND successful completion of an ASCP/NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology program OR;
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP categorical certification OR;
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND a minimum of two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems is preferred.
  • Registry-eligible technologists are encouraged to apply.

Medical Laboratory Technician:

  • Associate degree in laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory information systems is preferred.

Military experience will be considered.
