We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer who can create conceptual designs, rapidly model design and detailed drawings per ASME 14.5 standards, update and maintain current CAD designs, manage Bill of Materials, and oversee models and drawings. You will work closely with our design team to ensure that all designs are practical, optimized for cost, manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.

Responsibilities:

  • Create conceptual designs that meet the requirements of our powered parafoil flying machines
  • Rapidly model design and detailed drawings per ASME 14.5 standards
  • Update and maintain current CAD designs
  • Manage Bill of Materials
  • Oversee models and drawings

We require a strong background in engineering or related sciences, preferably with a technical or associate degree. A minimum of 2 years of design experience is necessary, with higher experience levels encouraged to apply. You should be familiar with ASME 14.5 drafting standards and have experience working in an engineering and manufacturing environment. Additionally, you must have high attention to detail and proficiency in SolidWorks.
