About the RoleWe are looking for experienced professionals to provide high-quality patient care in our Endocrinology department. As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our team of endocrinologists to manage patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions.
Responsibilities- Provide medical management and coordination of care for patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions
- Conduct routine follow-up appointments and provide education to patients on disease management
- Collaborate with our team of endocrinologists to develop and implement treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
- Provide coverage in the inpatient setting as needed
To be considered for this role, you must have a current working knowledge of diabetes medications, insulin pumps, and continuous glucose monitors. You must also be able to manage insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors as technology makes up a large part of the diabetes practice.
Qualifications- Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program (for Nurse Practitioners)
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice (for Physician Assistants)
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and DEA registration required
