As a Registered Professional Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in upholding our mission, vision, and values. You will practice professional nursing within the legal and ethical framework established by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice, and the YNHHS Professional Practice Model.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care that promote holistic health and well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery and transitions.
- Employ evidence-based practices to promote health and safety, and to prevent illness and injury.
- Evaluate patient progress and outcomes, and make adjustments to care plans as needed.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience: Registered Nurse is the foundational job description for all RNs. All RNs are encouraged to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
Licensure: Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
Special Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands: Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight, hearing, and touch. May be exposed to infectious diseases. Will be exposed to physical, mental and emotional illness as well as end of life conditions and death.
