We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team at Yorktown Veterinary Associates. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, developing strong relationships with our clients, and collaborating with our support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, taking into account their individual needs and medical histories.
- Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
- Perform surgical procedures, including routine surgeries and emergency surgeries.
- Prescribe and administer medications, as well as provide guidance on post-operative care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine, including new treatments, technologies, and best practices.
- Collaborate with our support staff to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
- Current veterinary license in good standing.
- Experience in general medicine and surgery, with a strong focus on companion animal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
