Job Summary

Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist (Assistant Professor) to join our esteemed team. As a key member of our Department of Medicine, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care services in an outpatient clinic setting, endoscopy outpatient, and inpatient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients in a clinical setting.
  • Participate in inpatient consult services and collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards and maintain required certifications and licensing.
  • Stay up-to-date with Electronic Medical Record systems and document patient encounters in a timely manner.
  • Order diagnostic services and referrals to specialists as needed.
  • Participate in educational activities, such as Grand Rounds, monthly faculty meetings, and retreats.
  • Share call responsibilities and provide medical care to patients of other providers when necessary.
  • Meet or exceed quality indicators and maintain professionalism in relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
  • Residency and Fellowship training in Gastroenterology.
  • Previous clinical experience as a practicing gastroenterologist is preferred.
  • License from the Texas Medical Board and certification to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
