Job Summary:

Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in The Dalles, Oregon. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide high-quality care to patients with a range of conditions, including geriatric, orthopedic, neurologic, pediatric, and neonatal rehabilitation. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients achieve their goals and regain independence.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement treatment plans and select modalities to meet established goals.
  • Transport, transfer, and assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, beds, tilt tables, and stretchers while ensuring safety and minimizing undue patient discomfort.
  • Assist patients with dressing and toileting needs.
  • Assist with inpatient and outpatient schedules, as needed.
  • Arrange patient schedules for scheduled visit arrivals and report any delays.
  • Assist in the maintenance, care, and cleaning of equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
  • Associate's/Technical Degree in occupational therapy or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
  • Two years' rehabilitative services experience or equivalent education: Preferred
  • Two year's occupational therapy experience: Preferred
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
  • Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA): Required
