Job Summary

This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to join the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA team as a Youth Dance Instructor. As a key member of our dance program, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dance instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Lead advanced dance classes, demonstrating expertise in various dance styles and techniques.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, adhering to YMCA guidelines and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and staff to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Assist with special events, workshops, and performances, showcasing your creativity and organizational skills.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attending training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in dance teaching or a related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
