Welder Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Personnel Services. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.

• Welding and Fabrication: Weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
• Planning and Preparation: Plan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Quality Control: Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
• Team Collaboration: Work well as a productive member of a team and notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.

• Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.
• Design and Planning: Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
• Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead. Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work. Must be able to see details at close range. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at times.
