Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a semi-truck in compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations.
  • Safely transport fuel loads along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate invoices and necessary documentation, ensuring delivery paperwork is submitted to the appropriate personnel upon completion of routes.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on vehicles, including oil, water, fuel, and air levels; report any mechanical issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Refuel heavy machinery and generators as required.
  • Handle the loading and unloading of petroleum products efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) endorsement is mandatory.
  • Capability to interpret general street and city signage.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • No more than one moving violation in a commercial or personal vehicle within the last 36 months.
  • No more than one chargeable accident in a commercial or personal vehicle within the last 36 months.
  • No history of DUI/DWI in a commercial vehicle; applicants with personal vehicle DUI/DWI over ten years ago may be considered.
  • Must fulfill all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
  • Prior experience as a Fuel Transport Driver is essential.

Full-time employees are expected to work a minimum of thirty-two (32) hours per week, with a maximum of forty (40) hours.
