We are a reputable medical malpractice defense firm with offices in Columbus and Dayton, seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical malpractice defense litigation, with a proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent healthcare professionals and institutions in medical malpractice defense litigation
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to manage caseloads efficiently
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice and healthcare
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, ensuring their rights and interests are adequately protected
  • Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical malpractice defense litigation
  • Exceptional knowledge of federal and state laws related to healthcare and medical malpractice
  • Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable outcomes
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
