Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Special Day Class Teacher to implement an instructional program for students with mild/moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a California Education Specialist Teaching Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities (with English Learner Authorization) and a passion for providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with mild/moderate disabilities
- Provide instruction and support to students in a Special Day Class setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student education
Requirements
- California Education Specialist Teaching Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities (with English Learner Authorization)
- Provisional Internship Permit (PIP), Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP), or Intern Credential
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, teachers, and support staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs
