Job Summary

 

We are seeking a qualified Special Day Class Teacher to implement an instructional program for students with mild/moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a California Education Specialist Teaching Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities (with English Learner Authorization) and a passion for providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with mild/moderate disabilities
  • Provide instruction and support to students in a Special Day Class setting
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational experience
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student education

 

Requirements

 

  • California Education Specialist Teaching Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities (with English Learner Authorization)
  • Provisional Internship Permit (PIP), Short-Term Staff Permit (STSP), or Intern Credential
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, teachers, and support staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for providing high-quality education to students with diverse needs
