Job Title: Plastics Sorter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Plastics Sorter to join our team at WMC LLC. As a Plastics Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sort and grade plastic scrap parts according to color, species, length, width, appearance, and quality.
  • Discard inferior or defective parts and place acceptable products in Gaylord containers for further processing.
  • Record grade or identification numbers on tags and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure standard quality specifications and requirements.
  • Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using a forklift or manual methods.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to communicate (read & write) in English.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of machine functions and ability to troubleshoot (not required but preferred).
  • 1-3 Years of experience operating a forklift (highly preferred).
Work Environment:
  • Plant/manufacturing facility. Not completely temperature controlled.
  • Exposure to hazards.
  • Extreme temperatures.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and use hands and arms. May be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. May be required to push or pull up to 60lbs.
