Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist II to join our Cardiology team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the safety of patients participating in therapeutic exercise, monitoring equipment use, and designing personalized exercise programs to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cardiac diagnostic testing, including EKG and Cardiac Stress Testing
  • Provide exercise prescriptions based on test data, patient status, and medication regimen
  • Monitor patient responses to exercise and adjust programs as needed
  • Recognize contraindications to exercise and respond appropriately
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals through the electronic medical record
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology or related field
  • Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification
  • ACLS required
  • 2 years recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • EKG/Stress Testing experience
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
  • Ability to design, implement, and supervise individualized exercise prescriptions
