We are in search of a strategic and innovative Chief Advancement Officer to spearhead our next chapter of growth and influence. This pivotal role will oversee all fundraising initiatives and donor engagement efforts, directly reporting to the CEO. The Chief Advancement Officer will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to enhance contributed and earned revenue, focusing on building a strong individual donor network while nurturing corporate partnerships. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to our mission of inspiring interest and perseverance in STEAM learning, ensuring equitable access and opportunities for students from underrepresented communities. A proven track record in increasing contributed revenue from both corporate and individual sources is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Fundraising: Collaborate with the CEO to cultivate a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aimed at significantly increasing financial support for our mission. Oversee the planning and execution of individual and major gift programs, corporate partnerships, grant writing, and fundraising events to meet annual budgetary and strategic objectives. Set measurable goals, track progress, and report on the return on investment (ROI) for all fundraising initiatives.

Donor Engagement and Stewardship:

  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with donors and prospective supporters, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction. Identify new grant opportunities and lead the strategy for securing funding. Manage relationships with institutional funders and develop marketing initiatives to enhance organizational visibility and attract new supporters.

Revenue Development:

  • Oversee strategies for earned revenue initiatives and manage the Community Engagement Manager. Foster deeper engagement with program volunteers, encouraging their transition into donor roles.

Leadership and Administration:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the donor database. Lead the Advancement team, including the Community Engagement Manager and a contract Grant Writer. Develop and manage the development budget, ensuring efficient resource utilization and compliance with fundraising protocols.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is competitive, and it is a full-time exempt role requiring a minimum of twenty-four hours per week in the office and with donors. Benefits include a supportive work environment, contributions to a benefits plan, paid vacation, holidays, and sick days, as well as a 401k program with matching contributions after a period of successful employment.
