Job Summary

AA Asphalting, LLC is seeking an experienced Asphalt Paving Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as rollers, backhoes, and graders to ensure high-quality asphalt paving services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate heavy equipment such as rollers, backhoes, graders, and pavers to perform asphalt paving tasks.
  • Pre-Job Preparation: Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure all machines are in good working condition, including oil and fluid levels, damage, and wear areas.
  • Compaction and Paving: Determine the optimal speed and direction for equipment operation to achieve smooth and even compaction and paving results.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work meets company standards and specifications, including grades, drainage, paving patterns, aggregate size, and oil consistencies.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Report any damage or required repairs to the mechanic on duty in a timely manner, complete daily equipment checklists, and ensure equipment is cleaned at the end of each job.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Class A CDL: Possess a Class A CDL or be willing to obtain one.
  • Ability to Work Safely: Ability to work safely at all times, following all safety rules and regulations, and practicing preventive safety measures.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy equipment, and work in various weather conditions.
