About the Role

As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Safe Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
  • Lead and Guide Team Members: Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with physicians, patients, and families to ensure seamless care coordination and address any concerns or questions.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Maintain current knowledge of EMTALA regulations, child and adult abuse reporting, and other relevant industry standards.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Current and valid state RN license, current BLS certification, and a minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in an emergency department.
  • Certifications and Training: Current ACLS, PALS, and ENPC certifications, as well as basic arrhythmia interpretation skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
