Job Title: Resident Caregiver

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Caregiver to join our team at Arden Courts ProMedica Memory Care Anderson. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Resident Caregiver will assist residents in all aspects of their daily life, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, activities, orientation, and information needs. This position requires tact, sensitivity, and professionalism due to the constant interaction with residents and families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals and snacks
  • Perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Manage resident behavior and provide emotional support
  • Encourage socialization and participation in activities
  • Provide orientation and information to residents and families
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic reading and writing skills
  • Ability to speak English in an understandable manner
  • Knowledge and experience in working with elderly
  • Previous dementia experience preferred

Physical Demands:

The Resident Caregiver must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a frequent basis
  • Full use of hands, arms, and legs
  • Read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment
  • Operate clothes washers and dryers and kitchen appliances
