Position Overview

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse responsible for delivering exceptional patient care through the nursing process, adhering to the medical plan of care, and following organizational protocols. This role involves providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the perioperative services for diverse patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the organization and reports directly to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following specialties: Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology.

Essential Qualifications:

Requirements:

Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Preoperative and PACU settings. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly preferred. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required. Strong understanding of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application. Ability to swiftly adapt to changing patient conditions as necessary. Excellent teamwork skills and effective communication with staff, patients, and physicians are essential.
