Job Opportunity

Shenandoah University's Office of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice. This is a full-time, benefited role located on our main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting, encompassing a broad range of disease states with an emphasis on chronic diseases and medication management.
  • Implement other patient care services as needed.
  • Serve as a preceptor for IPPE and APPE students.
  • Contribute to didactic teaching within the School of Pharmacy's therapeutic modules, patient assessment skills, or case-based laboratory courses.
  • Participate in service and scholarship activities, with responsibilities determined by faculty rank.
Requirements
  • Pharm.D. degree and eligibility for pharmacy licensure in the State of Virginia.
  • Strong understanding of clinical ambulatory care pharmacy practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop and work within innovative pharmacy practice models.
  • Pharmacy practice (PGY1) residency or equivalent experience.
  • Prior academic experience or additional training (PGY2 or fellowship) is a plus.
