Job Title: Land Surveyor

Civil Design Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for measuring and mapping land and legal parcels for boundary and topographic surveys, as well as laying out construction and engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform boundary and topographic surveys utilizing GPS equipment.
  • Conduct construction layout of sitework and utilities utilizing GPS and robotic total station.
  • Collect as-built data.
  • Perform minor to moderate survey calculations.
  • Keep detailed notes and logs.
Qualifications:
  • 3 years of survey experience.
  • Detail-oriented processes.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Reliable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of mapping and basic surveying and subdivision concepts.

Work Environment:

Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditions. The requirements of this position involve extended periods of strenuous physical activity under various field and weather conditions. Applicant must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
