Stewarding Manager

Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stewarding Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the stewarding department, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of all food and beverage areas.

• Lead and manage the stewarding team in all aspects of the department
• Assign and monitor break schedules and attendance
• Train, coach, and document employee performance
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and equipment
• Ensure all storage areas are clean, organized, and items are in proper containers
• Par levels for all equipment are maintained and stored correctly to support culinary and service staff
• Perform opening and closing of stewarding responsibilities
• Direct and assist stewards to make clean up more efficient
• Ensure water temperature and chemical levels are appropriate for cleaning
• Follow instructions and adhere to all procedures and company policies while maintaining a high standard of conduct
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed

• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Five (5) or more years of experience in a steward role working in a high-volume environment
• Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
• 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant years in lieu of a degree
• Extensive knowledge of health and kitchen guidelines, regulations, and law
• Has an expert knowledge of the proper use of related chemicals
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Available to work weekends, evening shifts, and major holidays (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, along with other special events from time to time)
• Ability to work independently in a diverse geographically dispersed team
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (lbs)
• Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as temperature and noise
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to our sister company (Blue Bell Country Club)
• Must have a valid driver's license
