About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at Pueblo County School District 70. As a vital member of our Department of Exceptional Student Services, you will work closely with our Speech Language Pathologists to develop and implement strategies that promote effective communication and support the academic success of students.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive and supportive learning environments. In this role, you will assist in assessing student speech and language skills, developing and implementing individualized plans, and providing interventions to support literacy development and address disorders related to language, voice, articulation, fluency, and functional communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Speech Language Pathologists in developing and implementing strategies to support student communication and academic success
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate student speech and language skills
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to address identified areas of need
  • Provide interventions to support literacy development and address disorders related to language, voice, articulation, fluency, and functional communication
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive and supportive learning environments
Requirements

  • A strong foundation in speech and language pathology principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Salary and Benefits

This position is exempt from FLSA classification and offers a salary range of $46,108-$98,678, dependent on experience and education. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as annual leave, vacation, and holiday pay. We also provide access to professional development opportunities and a cafeteria plan (Section 125).
