Job Overview

We are seeking both LEAD EDUCATORS and ASSISTANT EDUCATORS.

The following summary pertains to LEAD EDUCATORS. ASSISTANT EDUCATORS are integral team members and will be developed to transition into LEAD EDUCATORS in the future if they choose to do so.

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing assistant educators and the children in your classroom, ensuring that activities and curriculum are implemented as directed by the management.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure the safety and security of children at all times, providing a nurturing environment for play and learning.

· Guide and mentor assistants in your classroom on established procedures and regulations.

· Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to the curriculum.

· Create and manage supply lists, ensuring timely completion.

· Participate in staff meetings outside of regular working hours.

· Provide constructive feedback to parents, refraining from negative comments unless authorized by management.

· Prepare progress reports in alignment with the ABEKA guidelines.

· Compile Ages and Stages (ASQ) reports for children whose parents have granted permission.

· Comply with all regulations set forth by the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

· Assist with diaper changes and toilet training as necessary.

· Adhere to the presentation standards established by the organization.

· Engage in ongoing training to remain current with educational practices and regulations.

· Fulfill any additional responsibilities as required by the role.

· This position may occasionally require overtime, evening, and weekend hours.

Qualifications

· Completion of 45 state-mandated training hours.

· Child Development Associate credential or higher educational qualification.

· If previously employed in childcare, ensure that state-mandated annual in-service training hours are current.

· Certification in First Aid and CPR.

· Valid CDL driver's license.

· No pending or past criminal record.

· Reliable means of transportation.
