This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high level of customer service and operational expertise. As a Customer Service/Ground Operations Agent with Allegiant Travel, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, while also ensuring the smooth operation of our ground services.
Key Responsibilities- Process tickets and check baggage for accuracy and compliance with airline regulations
- Provide information to customers on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, and seating arrangements
- Marshal in planes and push back aircraft
- Handle denied boarding situations and re-accommodate customers as needed
- Assist customers with special needs, such as those requiring assistance in boarding
- Load and unload baggage and mail to and from aircraft and airport baggage areas
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as tugs, tractors, and deicers
- Enforce safety and security measures, and monitor safety-sensitive zones
- Ensure compliance with FAA and Allegiant Air regulations
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of customer service experience, or equivalent in related training and/or experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Valid driver's license required
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of general office equipment
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of airline industry operations and procedures
- Experience with heavy machinery and equipment
- Ability to work in a confined area and crawl in and out of small spaces
- Ability to wear personal protective gear
