Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified part-time instructor to teach business courses at Palomar College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in business and be able to effectively communicate with students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach business courses, including curriculum-approved courses within the discipline of business.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse students.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in business.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in business, business management, business administration, accountancy, finance, marketing, or business education.
  • A Bachelor's degree in any of the above fields and a Master's degree in economics, personnel management, public administration, or a Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.).
  • A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of the qualifications listed above.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching business courses at the community college level.
  • Strong knowledge of business principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

Part-time faculty members receive supervision from the Division Dean and direction from the Department Chair. The successful candidate will be required to complete the following pre-employment requirements: live scan/fingerprinting, official transcript(s), TB risk assessment, and employment verification(s).
