Overview:
A Registered Professional Nurse plays a crucial role in delivering patient care through a systematic approach involving assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
This professional is also responsible for prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and assessing patient education and the tasks performed by auxiliary nursing staff while upholding the standards of professional nursing practice.
The Registered Nurse is equipped to provide both direct and indirect care to patients.
Qualifications:
A. Education/Skills
Must be a graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or an equivalent program.
B. Experience
Preferred six (6) months of relevant experience.
C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Must hold a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas.
American Heart Association BLS certification is required within two (2) weeks of employment.
Medication Competence must be achieved within two (2) weeks of employment.
Computer Competence is expected within four (4) weeks of employment.
Completion of an Arrhythmia Recognition Course is required within twelve (12) weeks of employment if ACLS Certification is not current.
AHA ACLS Certification must be obtained within sixteen (16) weeks of employment.
Critical Care classes and examinations should be completed within sixteen (16) weeks of employment.
Phlebotomy/Point of Care Competency must be achieved within four (4) weeks of employment.
TNCC Course completion is required within six (6) months of employment.
ENPC/PALS Certification must be obtained within six (6) months of employment.
Work Schedule:
Part Time - weekends only
