Your Opportunity + Impact

The Plumbing Designer will apply basic to intermediate engineering principles to complete design computations, prepare written technical reports, design plans, and details. This position may be called upon to make minor project decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technically accurate, clean, and deliverable drawings using CAD, Revit, and other software programs.
  • Review work to ensure accuracy, make corrections to work from red lines, and backcheck.
  • Write specifications, review submittals, and coordinate project submissions.
  • Promote, utilize, and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors & omissions.
  • Research, review, interpret, and understand written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and apply them to design projects.
  • Independently create standard details for projects as directed.
  • Review shop drawings and working drawing submissions from contractors.
  • Assist with design calculations, calculate quantities, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
Education and Experience
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years' experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: N/A.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong desire to expand knowledge base and undertake new responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), strong communicator, and strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Microstation, InRoads (Surfaces/Templates), Sketch-Up, Photoshop, and other related software programs.
