Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Equipment Technician to join our team at Deep South Equipment. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing forklifts and material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and diagnose equipment malfunctions or failures to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other industrial equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide timely and accurate information.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, parts lists, and time cards.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to all safety laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working with forklifts, heavy machinery, automotive, or related industrial equipment.
  • Technical degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • Electrical experience on lift trucks or industrial equipment is a plus.
