Job Overview

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing client investment portfolios and fostering significant relationships by delivering thorough investment strategies and managing the daily operations of client accounts. Formulates investment approaches and oversees client portfolios in alignment with established objectives and in compliance with all internal and regulatory investment and fiduciary standards. Engages in the financial planning process while effectively managing, monitoring, and mitigating fiduciary and investment risks to enhance and sustain client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Oversight: Administers client portfolios and manages accounts within defined investment and fiduciary frameworks, governing documents, and all relevant federal and state regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluating clients' comprehensive financial situations and collaborating with them to develop a profound understanding of their distinct investment aspirations to create personalized investment portfolios aligned with their goals.
  • Collaborating with clients to devise holistic wealth management strategies.
  • Assessing risk profiles and educating clients about investment risks and the risk/reward balance.
  • Designing suitable investment portfolios to ensure the execution of strategies that optimize returns while maintaining an acceptable risk level.
  • Structuring accounts to adhere to the client's investment policy statement and align with the current investment strategy, including transition plans when necessary.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with clients, monitoring, and rebalancing portfolios to ensure alignment with evolving client circumstances, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Conducting ongoing investment research, staying updated on market developments, and remaining informed about the current economic landscape.
  • Successfully establishing new client relationships.
  • Collaborating as part of a team to provide clients with a diverse array of financial solutions, enhancing existing relationships and cultivating new ones.
  • Providing continuous monitoring and rebalancing of portfolios to ensure client objectives are achieved.

Client Relationship Management: Cultivates client relationships with a focus on prudent fiduciary risk management, relationship enhancement, and surpassing client expectations. Engages in high-value, meaningful interactions with clients. Identifies business referral opportunities and takes appropriate actions. Involves relevant team members in relationship management initiatives. Participates in relationship and investment reviews. Documents client communications and interactions in the designated management system.

Business Development: Actively engages in business development initiatives. Identifies and secures new clients, acquires additional assets from existing clients, and uncovers opportunities to maximize relationships.

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of successful experience in managing investment portfolios within a wealth management context.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance is advantageous.
  • Experience with asset allocation processes.
  • Familiarity with portfolio theory and a basic understanding of fiduciary law.
  • Advanced knowledge of investment principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional skills in relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA.
  • CFA or CFP certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with client management systems is a plus.

Physical Requirements: This position primarily involves sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical Activities: Frequent physical activities include talking to express or exchange ideas and hearing, with or without correction, to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels. The use of fingers is frequently required for tasks such as typing or handling objects. This position may occasionally require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and feeling.

Visual Acuity Requirements: Close visual acuity and the ability to adjust focus, with or without correction, are necessary for activities such as viewing a computer monitor or written materials, reading, writing, preparing and analyzing data, and transcribing.

Environmental Conditions: The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions and may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts or machinery.
