Job Summary

CHS Inc., a leading global agribusiness, is seeking a skilled Sanitation Specialist to join our Global Grains and Processing Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of our facility sanitation program, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the master sanitation schedule, ensuring timely completion of planned tasks
  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of production areas, sanitation room, and other non-production areas
  • Conduct non-routine cleaning and sanitation activities in production areas, including production line and equipment sanitation
  • Test chemicals from the chemical dilution system and collaborate with the chemical supplier to optimize chemicals used at the plant
  • Manage chemical and paper goods inventory, ordering supplies as necessary
  • Assist in developing and updating sanitation standard operating procedures and other sanitation documentation
  • Train production employees on production sanitation procedures, ensuring compliance with sanitation processes
  • Investigate sanitation process deviations and environmental incident reports to determine root causes and develop corrective and preventative actions
  • Support sanitation, food safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Participate in training opportunities to enhance sanitation and food safety knowledge
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Operations and/or Production Operations
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Agriculture experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
