Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Sonographer, you will:

  • Conduct detailed fetal anatomical examinations, echocardiography, Doppler studies, and gynecological assessments.
  • Assist Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists with invasive procedures and ensure effective communication regarding patient cases.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, genetic counselors, and administrative personnel to maintain continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives by auditing ultrasound studies regularly.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain high standards of infection control and equipment monitoring.
  • Perform necessary computer operations, including reporting and billing tasks.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following established protocols.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a staff sonographer, particularly in OB/Gyn.
  • RDMS certification in Fetal Echocardiography within 18 months of employment.
  • Vocational school graduation or equivalent in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Preferred experience of 3 years in an OB/Gyn or maternal-fetal medicine setting.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
