Job Title: Bankruptcy Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Bankruptcy Attorney to join our team at the Holland Law Group. As a Bankruptcy Attorney, you will be responsible for communicating with clients, attorneys, and the Court to facilitate Chapter 7, 13, and 11 cases from consultation to discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Bankruptcy consultations with clients to understand their financial situations and provide guidance on the best course of action.
  • Guide clients through the bankruptcy process, ensuring they understand the laws and regulations governing bankruptcy in Florida.
  • Draft responses to motions and other filings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Resolve pending motions with opposing counsel or Trustees, negotiating settlements and agreements as needed.
  • Attend Court appearances via telephone, Zoom, or in person, representing clients and advocating for their interests.
  • Manage and coordinate with paralegals and assistants regarding matters, ensuring timely and efficient case management.
  • Analyze incoming legal documents and client information, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement.
  • Document management through CLIO, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client cases.
  • Review Bankruptcy Petitions, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Assist in case management, working closely with clients and other team members to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Interface with clients, judges, opposing counsel, and Trustees, providing updates and information as needed.
  • Manage all legal office administrative responsibilities, including sending emails, making copies, processing client payments, and organizing file systems.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate as well as a license to practice law in the state of Florida.
  • 8 years minimum experience practicing law or 5 years minimum practicing Bankruptcy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal information to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems, with the ability to learn new software and technologies as needed.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with discretion.
  • Bi-lingual/English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.

Work Environment:

You will work in a well-lit office, with a dynamic and supportive team environment. The days of the week required for this role are Monday-Friday, with hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You may work more than 40 hours per week, depending on the needs of the firm and your role.
