Job Overview

The Shelby County Schools seek a highly skilled and dedicated Instructional Coach to join their team. As an Instructional Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in developing their instructional skills and strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teachers to design and implement effective lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers on best practices in instruction and assessment.
  • Develop and lead professional development sessions for teachers on various topics related to instruction and curriculum.
  • Analyze student data to identify areas of strength and weakness and develop targeted interventions.

Requirements
  • Master's degree or above in Education or a related field.
  • Valid Alabama teacher's certificate at the Master's level or above.
  • Minimum of five years successful teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience in curriculum and instruction.
