Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sheet Metal Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment, including ductwork, fittings, fans, dampers, and air distribution systems.
  • Install ducts, accessories, and equipment at job sites according to blueprints and specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and portable power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Provide training, oversight, and instruction to Sheet Metal Helpers and Apprentices to ensure they are performing tasks safely and per SMACNA and project specifications.
  • Take direction, adapt to changing situations, and strive for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in the field and/or sheet metal shop.
  • Comprehensive understanding of SMACNA standards.
  • GED or High School Graduate preferred.
  • Ability to measure ducts for fabrication, make field modifications, and install ducts according to shop blueprints.
  • Skilled in working with tools, metals, and machines.
  • Ability to perform a variety of duties and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compliance with all B&I safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
