Job Title: Shuttle Driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shuttle Driver to join our team at University Village in Columbus, OH. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our college student residents by operating our shuttle service, facilitating convenient transportation for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the shuttle bus, adhering to predetermined routes and schedules.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the shuttles.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support community events and activities requiring transportation services.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of the passengers and others on the road.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation and passenger safety.
  • Implement emergency protocols and procedures in the event of an incident or accident.
  • Greet residents with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a welcoming environment.
  • Communicate with residents in a clear and courteous manner, addressing their questions and concerns.

Requirements:

  • Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
  • Current DOT medical certificate
  • Must meet federal requirements of DOT drug testing and background check requirements for pre and to maintain employment
  • Driving record must meet Homestead's internal motor vehicle record requirements to be insured by our general liability/motor vehicle insurance company

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Good hand eye coordination and spatial awareness
  • Able to work in hot weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain a valid DOT medical certificate
