We are seeking a skilled Production Worker / Packaging Operator to join our team at Lignetics. Responsibilities
  • Operate machinery in a productive manner using established safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist other production areas as needed.
  • Move and wrap completed products.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day.
  • Assist Shift Leads to start and stop pellet mills.
  • Communicate any moisture or material problems to Shift Lead.
  • Maintain a clean workstation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
The Bagging Operation

Responsibilities include operating a variety of machinery, primarily bagging and baler machines, shrink wrapping machines, forklifts, pallet jacks, and bag sealers. You will stack bags on pallets, put covers on pallets, and place finished goods in the correct warehouse location. You will also be responsible for accurate completion of the Bagger production report, filling pellet sample cups every ton for quality control information, and tagging pallets with quality control tags.

The Baler Operation

Responsibilities include stacking bales on pallets, sealing bales with an iron, and wrapping pallets. You will also be responsible for accurate completion of the Baler Operator production report, checking bale weight, and recording information on various reports and quality control tags.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior forklift and production line experience preferred.
  • Good eye, hand, and foot coordination required.
  • Must pass company forklift training.
  • Ability to read and interpret scales required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required to adjust weight and timing of baler and other simple maintenance problems.
  • Ability to do simple math calculations required.
