CNC Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team at CompX Grayslake. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision instruments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand part specifications.
• Monitor machine operation during production runs, identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure part quality meets specifications.
• Maintain high-quality standards by adhering to safety protocols and procedures when operating CNC machines.
• Familiarity with CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and various CNC machine types (mills, lathes, etc.) is essential.

• High School Diploma, Certification or Associate's Degree.
• Frequent standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material.
• Overtime may be required, including weekends when necessary.
