Role Summary
At New Leaf Preschool, we are committed to transforming education through innovative practices. Our curriculum emphasizes understanding the world around us, prioritizing genuine knowledge over mere test preparation. We strive to cultivate well-rounded, self-motivated learners who are equipped for lifelong success.
With a focus on holistic education, we maintain small class sizes of no more than 18 students, creating an environment conducive to exploration and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to support our educational mission. The successful candidate will assist students in alignment with Montessori principles, ensuring an integrated learning experience.
The Paraprofessional will:
- Engage with students during lessons, promoting collaborative learning.
- Utilize Montessori materials and curriculum to enhance educational experiences.
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conduct assessments as needed.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students.
- Plan lessons that cater to individual learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate with fellow educators.
- Maintain a clean and engaging learning environment.
- Lead IEP meetings and assist in student-led conferences.
Our goal is to ensure that every student is challenged appropriately and is making progress toward meeting educational standards.
Qualifications
Required: Paraprofessional Teaching License
Preferred: 5 Years of Teaching Experience, Montessori Credential or Experience
