The Sports Medicine Specialist will provide comprehensive athletic training services to organizations affiliated with JAG Physical Therapy. This includes injury assessment and treatment, first aid during athletic events, and compliance with documentation and risk management protocols.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic trainer services for athletic events and competition
- Offer first aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for athletes affiliated with contracted organizations
- Document injuries, illnesses, treatments, rehabilitation, etc., in accordance with JAG PT policy and state licensure professional practice standards
- Create a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training (CAATE-approved program)
- Completion of the BOC certification
- Licensed in the state of practice as an Athletic Trainer
- Department of Education (DOE) clearance (if working in secondary schools and applicable in the state of practice)
- Current BLS certification
- Maintain Personal Liability Insurance
- Flexibility and adaptability necessary to adjust to fluid situations
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
