Commodity Manager

Develop and execute a comprehensive commodity strategy, collaborating with senior management at key suppliers to ensure a robust supply chain with optimal Total Cost of Ownership.

Lead a diverse cross-functional team to drive Key Metrics such as On-Time Delivery, Cost Savings, and Quality. Conduct Spend Analysis and rationalization to build and manage Supplier relationships. Negotiate and formalize contracts with key suppliers.

• Manage strategic supplier relationships at a senior level, purchasing for multiple manufacturing locations in the US.
• Identify high-quality products and services at competitive market prices, creating and executing in-depth "Requests for Proposal" with data-driven and process-oriented sourcing project plans.
• Develop fact-based Global Commodity Strategies that align with engineering and business requirements, negotiating and executing contracts with Pricing, VMI, and other terms.
• Maintain ongoing assessment of sourcing risks and proposed alternatives, driving continuous improvement of savings tools and tracking methodologies.
• Work closely with the Oracle ERP system to inform decision-making.

• Electronics Engineering Degree preferred or Business Degree with Industrial Experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier quality engineering, with expertise in PCBA contract manufacturing and electronic component sourcing.
• Knowledge of the electronic and/or electro-mechanical component commodity, with experience in managing negotiations with international suppliers and adversarial supplier relationships.
• Vast knowledge of upstream electronic supply chain components and origins, with the ability to advise the engineering team on cost comparisons of preliminary designs.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills, with Microsoft Office proficiency.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10-30% of the time).
