Your Role: Cable & Fiber Optic Lineman

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cable & Fiber Optic Lineman to join our construction team. You will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, operating, and repairing overhead cable TV and fiber-optic communication lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, operate, and repair overhead cable TV and fiber-optic communication lines.
  • Operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations (after completing a safety course).
  • Assist with pole framing, stand placement, and the installation of guys and anchors.
  • Climb poles and operate hand and power tools effectively.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new approaches.
  • Strong understanding of GRIT values (Guts, Reliability, Innovation, Teamwork).
  • Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics, coaxial cables, and copper wires.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment like cable splicing tools, test meters, and bucket trucks.
  • Experience with cable-pulling machinery, trenchers, and aerial lift equipment.
  • Ability to splice and terminate fiber optic and copper cables.
  • Skill in reading and understanding splicing diagrams and blueprints.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the telecom, utility, construction, or engineering industry.
  • Current CDL.
